I’ve decided to publish more here. I want to write more about books and papers I’ve enjoyed reading, things that bring me joy, and concepts I’m trying to wrap my mind around. The hope is I will become a better writer, thinker, and advocate. And if not, well I will have tried.
My first post is about a new social media platform I’ve really enjoyed using (read: lurking on!) Future posts will be about books I’ve read that do something ambitious, art that tackles concepts like surveillance, civic participation, notes on our tech future, things I am seeing on my FYP, and maybe even the murder mystery novels I dive into when I’m trying to escape news stories about how the earth is moving faster than ever.
Ultimately, this non-collection of posts reflect me and my curiosities (or Kunstkammer if you’re fancy) around art, tech, and identity rather than a neat and curated collection of thoughts. But hey, open to any and all interpretations.
In the meantime, some of my work:
- On India’s disastrous cybersecurity order
- On the art of what’s possible, an interview with Sarah Thankam Mathews
- On recent reports of surveillance in Toronto airport
- On aunties
